Time Flies

Alright, so this edition of the "We're Having A Baby" blog goes out to my friend Courtni Wicker. Courtni was on bed rest for part of her pregnancy and just told me that I really needed to update this blog because she was reading it during her bed rest time .... unfortunately I didn't give her too much reading material. Courtni has since had her beautiful little girl.

So according to "What To Expect When Expecting," I have entered the sixth month, I'm right at 23 weeks ... seems just like yesterday we found out we were having a baby.

I've been feeling good, however I have developed SEVERE heartburn. Now, I could have sworn that I have experienced heartburn before, but apparently not. TUMS and Zantac have become my best friends. So my nightly routine includes three Tums and a glass of chocolate milk, it seems to help.

My belly seems to be getting bigger and bigger as each week passes and I am starting to feel Cooper kick more and more, at least I think it's him kicking me. Kevin says he can't feel him kicking but I have plenty times where I've seen my stomach move up and down in the area of where I've been kicked.

Alright, time for me to sign off and hit the hay!

It's A Boy!!!!!

It's official .... it's a boy!

We had our ultrasound yesterday and the ultrasound technician was able to tell us what the sex of the baby was. At first he had his legs crossed but after jostling him around and looking a few other things first he decided to cooperate.

Most importantly, everything with the baby is great, heart, brain, kidney's, etc., everything is exactly the way it should be.

It's so funny to see him at this point because at the last ultrasound he was nothing more than a kidney bean ... now he actually looks like a real human.

This means we can finally start planning for our little boy. First stop is going to be Babies r Us this weekend so we can being registering for stuff and looking at baby furniture.

Names .... we already have one picked out, our little boy is going to be going by the name Cooper. We couldn't come to a meeting of the minds on girls names so it's good we're having a boy.

As for me, I am feeling pretty good. Knock on wood, this pregnancy has been relatively easy so far. The only negative thing is I've been having bad headaches but according to the doctor headaches are normal for pregnant women. I have my next monthly appointment in two weeks. Compared to this last one, the upcoming one seems so boring.

Anyways, here a few pictures for ya'll to enjoy.
