I know it's been awhile since I last updated, but a friend of mine motivated me to finally update. She wrote me telling me how much she loves the blog and I asked her if she loves how I never update it ... so Susan, this one is for you!
I am finally at 13 weeks! Depending on what book you read I have started the second trimester, others say not until week 14. For the most part I am feeling really good. Still extremely tired but no nausea. Everyone keeps asking if I am having any cravings ... the only real craving I have is for pickles and Taco Bell sounds good just about any day of the week. I have had food aversion, chicken and turkey have been removed entirely from our lunch and dinner menu ... bring on the red meat though. I knew it was bad when I went to the store today and I actually bought real bacon, not turkey bacon.
Been trying to be a little more consistent with my workout routine, especially if I am eating bacon and Taco Bell. I finally had to commit to going to the gym right after work. I get pretty tired during the drive home and once I make it to the house and change, the last thing I was to do is walk around the neighborhood or hop on the elliptical.
I'm having my 4 month appointment next week, and I'm not real sure what's going to happen at that one. We are having this one a week early because we'll be in California when they wanted to do it and they didn't want to wait until we got back. These appointments are turning into two-and-a-half hour visits. If this next one is that same I'm going to have to say something because I can't afford to lose that time every time I have an appointment. Kevin gets frustrated with me but really, if my appointment is at 2:50 p.m., I expect to be seen somewhere around 2:50, not 45 minutes later ... ahhh the joys of military health care, I don't even wait that long in the civilian world!
As you can see, I've attached a few photos. I finally have a little pooch, I'm not loving it but I have to accept it. For the most part I am still in my regular clothes, I've probably a little bit longer before I can start wearing maternity clothes. Also, this week the baby is the size of a peach. It's getting bigger and bigger every week!
